yupp. didn't create as much as i wanted. was pretty much lazing around and watching tv. but its alright. sometimes one just needs some time to just be bummy. i think. tomorrow shall be more productive.

paint, splash, colour!

i got a day off today! not sure why but i'm embracing it! loving the time i can finally have to just create. i don't usually start the day off with a blog post, but when i saw my little tubers of paint just sitting there, i knew that it would be for today's marco challenge entry.

been trying to take pictures in perspectives. looking at things in a macro view-the big picture, before zooming in on the smaller details.




so these shoots were the ones i tried taking - i originally wanted to take marco shoots of the acrylic paint, but it didn't turn out too well. i couldn't figure from which angle it'd be best to take the shoots. then i saw the bunch of scissors i had sitting next to the paints and tried the macro on that instead...and guess what?



i looooove these colours. got lots of ideas swimming around, will try to translate them to paper or canvas or beads soon. (:

mwl staff crop

on friday, 11th april, we had a mini staff crop. it was actually to show us the different ways we could use the products they had and how to promote it. but it was so fun. there were products there that theoretically i knew how to use, but either never got a chance to or wasn't that intrigued by it. but it was such great fun. andrew was really sweet, he actually stayed with me throughout the crop just to be with me, even tho he isn't that interested in scrapbooking. thanks babe! (:

made this journal i titled "reel life". its meant for me to journal stuff about exercising, food and generally just being healthy. need to lose weight, as usual.

a small painting i did just for fun. i realise that most people dread mondays because its the start of the work week again. but i'm starting to feel that mondays are great for the reason that its the start of the week. nevermind the start of the work week. the start of the week. and i love the feeling that i'm starting over and that i get to try and make this a better week than the last. so have an enjoyable week. don't forget to take time to create! (:

p/s: i haven't finished sense and sensibility yet. but i definitely would try to do so by this week!

my cow cup broke. and it was all the waaaaay from melbourne. so after fixing the handle, its now my paint cup. ahwells.

paints and pots

this is the final block. i really like the vines and the odd birdie silhouette looking on. (:

bought new square bowls! (: very pleased with them decided to reorganise my craft area so that i didnt need to constantly take out the paint, keep it back in the box, and out again. oh the hassle. so now its in pretty bowls!

see thats the paint corner. my buckets, bowls and watering cans of paints, brushes, sponges. all the colours and the ikea print for inspiration!

we finally got to eat our half-priced gelare waffles. it would have been perfect with honey and butter, sadly there was none. but the waffle itself was pretty buttery so thats okay. oh. and a little incident at macs today. here goes the tale. i ordered meself an apple pie and cappuccino, but lo and behold! while drinking it, the coffee tasted oddly more milky than usual. so i thought perhaps they gave me a latte instead. but the more i drank, the more intense the milk aftertaste was. so i opened the lid. under the white foam, was white liquid - they gave me a cup of hot milk. haha, so i walked back to macs with my group mates, under the guise of a toilet break and got my coffee in my milk. so check your coffee! you'll never know, it might just be milk.

i am very inspired by this painting by jessica jones. shall use a bit of the leaf pattern to do up the last canvas in my trio series. (: i really really wish i would be able to paint like that soon.

i really really looooove these new journals i managed to scrap last night. its exactly what i had hoped squiggletown would be - quirky, whimsical, original. (that should be squiggletown's tagline. shall work on that) (:

my essentials: journal, diary, tag book (for random words or phrases that catch my attention) and tigger pencil case from UK. did i mention how much i love stationery? in particular paperchase. (:

these are card-sized mounted canvases. shall be using them to embellish..more pictures up soon.

i still haven't figured what to draw in the middle..the owl is still missing its beak.
